Virtual assistants from across the globe to converge on the Mississippi riverfront for an action-packed weekend, October 14-15, 2005

VA Conference 2005 hosts: Janet Jordan of Texas; Fred Gandee of Oklahoma; and, Kelly Poelker of Illinois have announced St. Louis, Missouri as the site for its Fifth Annual Virtual Assistant Conference.

Show Me Growth—Show Me Excellence—Show Me the Way! is the theme of this year’s conference. “We’re very excited about this conference. The agenda has been expanded to Friday and Saturday to allow ample time for discussions and questions,” states conference co-host, Janet Jordan. The team of co-hosts have lined up successful virtual assistants from across the country to facilitate a day-long workshop filled with practical knowledge and helpful topics to start or grow one of the hottest home-based businesses – virtual assisting.

The conference kicks off with a Vendor Showcase on Friday afternoon. Attendees can visit sponsors, register to win free stuff, and learn about some exciting products and services that are sure to benefit a thriving, or fledgling, virtual assistant practice.

On Saturday it’s networking over breakfast before settling in for a day of learning and sharing with industry experts. “At VA Conference we believe in learning from each other,” says co-host Poelker. “We accomplish that by having presenters who walk the talk as a virtual assistant each and everyday.” The conference hosts promise presenters who have been there, done that and are eager to share their knowledge and expertise with colleagues to ensure excellence–excellence not only in each individual practice, but in the industry as a whole.

An informational networking lunch is planned where attendees can learn about different niche markets. A special panel discussion on proven marketing techniques to build and grow your practice will wind up the day, followed by more networking events.
