IVAA - WELCOME ABOARD

Jeannine Clontz, Pres., IVAA

by Sharon Williams

It gives me great pleasure to welcome International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) as a new member of The Alliance for Virtual Businesses. IVAA will work with us to collectively promote the worldwide Virtual Assistant industry.

When asked to describe IVAA and its goals, Ms. Jeannine Clontz, IVAA President, said the following: "
IVAA encompasses virtual workers in many fields, from traditional and specialized administrative support, to IT, bookkeeping, and coaching specialists, just to mention a few.  Although it seems as if we are still in our infancy, the IVAA and the virtual staffing industry have come a long way.  A significant part of our membership is based in North America, but we continue to extend our hands and hearts around the world to embrace and support virtual workers around the world and currently have members in 16 countries."

IVAA's Mission

The International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) is dedicated to the professional education and development of members of the Virtual Assistance profession, and to educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant. Its mission is:

  • To provide access to the leading Virtual Assistant organization to Professional Virtual Assistants world-wide.

  • To educate the general public and the business community on the role and function of Virtual Assistants.

  • To promote and require high professional standards through member commitment to the IVAA Code of Ethics.

  • To provide our members with cutting-edge professional certification programs and reward completion of this rigorous program with the esteemed IVAA CVA designation as tribute to their demonstrated professionalism, skill levels and ethical business practices.

  • To assist our members to operate their VA practices more efficiently and profitably by providing education and benefits to promote the entrepreneurial work ethic, strengthen their wealth creating capacity, and enhance general economic development.

  • To build strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations to foster networking opportunities while promoting innovative and effective changes in the business culture to reflect the Virtual Assistance profession.

  • To serve as a resource for businesses seeking Professional VAs by maintaining a free, easily accessible on-line database to simplify the task of locating the best qualified VA for their needs.

Proactive Industry Role

"I am extremely pleased at the forward thinking of the 2005-2006 IVAA Board of Directors who has elected to join forces with the Alliance for Virtual Businesses. The Alliance has come a long way in its short 18-month existence, and their volunteers are certainly the “who’s who” of our industry.  It’s a logical place for IVAA and its members to collaborate and support each other, and the virtual community.  I look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come.” Ms. Clontz went on to say, "We are continually looking for resources and tools to support our members and the VA industry and believe that our partnership with the Alliance for Virtual Businesses is key in providing a united front for the industry, as well as, an incredible resource for our members."
